February 24, 2026 – 1:00 – 2:00 PM Eastern

Have you ever gotten knee deep into a project and realized that the consultation you were providing was not addressing the real problem or that the client’s expectations are different than yours? Join us for a deep dive into skillful approaches to the scoping phase of a new client relationship. This workshop draws from Edgar Schein’s work on Humble Consulting and Humble Inquiry and Peter Block’s practical guide to consulting relationships: Flawless Consulting. In Edgar Schein’s book “Humble Consulting,” he describes an approach that requires humility in the face of the complexity of the problems and humility in the relationship with the client. Together, we will explore how you can bring a truly caring mindset and genuine curiosity about the true issues at play to ensure that the scoping phase of your project sets you up for success.
