Disability Inclusion in Philanthropy
A Working Paper for Grantmakers and the Consultants Who Support Their Work
The National Network of Consultants to Grantmakers (NNCG) working paper is a starting place of learning for the Disability Inclusion Working Group and its colleagues of the National Network of Consultants to Grantmakers. Through the paper, we provide a scan of how the philanthropic sector has addressed disability inclusion and feature the work of FISA Foundation, the WITH Foundation, and others that have been actively leading efforts in inclusion and disability justice. Included in the paper is a glossary of terms for those new to the work, as well. Ultimately, the paper is a challenge to us and to everyone in the philanthropy field to consider what role philanthropy plays in advancing disability inclusion, and how we can deepen our application of disability inclusion to our work.
